BAT CONTROL

LICENSED PROFESSIONALS

  • Hire a detailed and skilled Bat control professional to resolve the problem affecting your home or building.
  • We are licensed Wildlife Control Operators with WDFW, and are Bat Standards Certified with NWCOA.
  • We have extensive experience in Bat removal, Exclusion, Eviction, and Cleanup of guano and contamination.

ETHICAL AND EFFECTIVE CONTROL STRATEGIES

  •  All Bat species in the US are protected, and a lot of species are endangered.
  •   Non-Lethal and Humane measures are required under State and Federal law to resolve Bat conflicts with humans.

PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION

  • All Bats are essential to people and the environment around us.
  • Most Bats in the US are insectivores, controlling insect populations and reducing crop damages and the need for excessive pesticide use.
  • Some Bats in the US are frugivores, feeding on fruit and nectar of flowering plants. These Bats help to pollinate and spread seeds for plants that produce food or benefit to the environment.

OUR BAT CONTROL PROCESS

THOUROUGH INSPECTION

  • First we start with a top to bottom full inspection of the structure.
  • We search for the deficiencies on the structures exterior that are allowing bats access into interior spaces like Attics, ceilings, or walls.
  • We also inspect accessible interior spaces for contamination or health hazards that bats left behind.
  • Inspection fees may apply, but are always applied towards any our services that the client agrees upon.

BAT EXCLUSION

  • "Exclusion" is a Non-Lethal process of  installing Bat proof construction type materials to block Bat access into the structure
  • Exclusion is done first to prepare for Eviction of the bats.
  • Any bat entry points 18 inches above grade and higher must be sealed as per NWCOA Bat Standards.

BAT EVICTION

CLICK TO WATCH VIDEO OF EVICTION IN ACTION!

  • "Eviction" is a Non-Lethal process of installing One-Way Door devices to some of the entry points to allow the Bats to leave the structure and fly outside, but will not allow them to get back in!
  • After about 1-2 weeks, we return and remove the One-Way door devices, and perform Exclusion to the final entry points.

BAT REMEDIATION

  • After a Bat infestation is resolved, in some cases contamination will need to be removed, and damages repaired.
  • The most common health hazard is a respiratory fungal pathogen called Histoplasmosis, carried in their droppings (Guano).
  • It is very important to remove bat droppings from areas such as attics, as there can be potential disease transmission to humans.

BAT HOUSES & PREVENTION

  • In addition to Bat removal, we also offer custom built Bat houses!
  • When Bats are being Evicted from a structure, it is usually recommended to provide artificial habitat and create a new home for them AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE.
  • Bat houses can be a great ongoing preventative tool to draw Bat pressure away from the structure, and prevent re-entry.
